Local collaboration behind delivery of truck bodies to Alingsås municipality
Alingsås Municipality has taken delivery of a new hooklift for its waste management operations. The storage solutions are manufactured by Alf Pettersson AB in Alingsås, and sales have been handled by Volvo Truck Center in Alingsås. The vehicle will be used at the municipality's waste facilities.
The load changer will be used at the facilities in Alingsås, Bälinge, and Sollebrunn and is part of the municipality's efforts to streamline transport, container changes, and daily operations within the waste management sector.
The storage solutions on the vehicle are manufactured by Alf Pettersson AB in Alingsås. All products are developed and manufactured locally in Alingsås – from concept and design to production.
The truck is built on a chassis from Volvo Trucks in Tuve and equipped with a truck body from JOAB, both based in Gothenburg. The sale was handled by Volvo Truck Center in Alingsås, which will also be responsible for future service and any repairs.
The delivery is the result of a procurement process with clear requirements for functionality, environmental impact, and proximity in both construction and service.
