The “White Ember” Freight Switch – Standard doesn’t have to be boring!
White Ember is the swap body we’re showcasing at Elmia Lastbil 2026. Built on a Volvo chassis and equipped with a JOAB hook. This is an example of how our products can be integrated in a modern and well-thought-out way. Several of these solutions are also available for other truck models and makes.
The name “White Ember” refers to the white ember—the hottest phase of a fire. The truck features a sloping AP top cover made of aluminum with painted and polished tops. On the driver’s side, behind the AP TraXide side skirt, there is an integrated “ drawer ” with both heating and lighting.
The cargo door is equipped with a black-painted AP Box featuring a heater and a light strip that activates automatically upon opening. Between the fenders are bogie boxes with chest-style openings that harmonize with the design of the top cover while offering extra storage space. The rear section is complemented by light holders bearing the Volvo logo.
The combination of black accents against the white cab, skirt, and fenders creates a stylish look with a distinct character.

AP Top Covers are manufactured from 3/5 mm marine-grade aluminum, providing robust protection for hydraulic or fuel tanks, for example, while the construction is sturdy enough to walk on.
AP Top Covers are designed for installation on both Volvo genuine side skirts and AP TraXide and are delivered untreated.
The sloping design facilitates access even when loaded and provides effective drainage of dirt and water.
The front top plates are fixed and protect areas where an openable design is not possible. The openable part, held up by gas dampers, makes, for example, tank filling and cleaning easy - without the need for unnecessary recesses in the top cover.

By changing the side air deflector’s opening motion to an outward direction, the space behind the cab—which would otherwise be occupied when the air deflector opens inward—is freed up.

With high-quality stainless steel and a stylish design, AP TraXide is an obvious choice for Volvo trucks that lack factory skirt packages. AP TraXide consists of easy-to-install side skirts that are attached directly to the truck's original planking and have ends shaped to follow the lines of the fenders.
The TraXide can be ordered with or without a recess for LCS (Lane Change Support), and all side skirts are supplied unpainted in bright stainless steel.
Brackets are included in the delivery for smooth and easy installation. They are pre-assembled in the correct positions and evenly distributed along the side. The brackets consist of two parts: one that is mounted in the side panel and one that is attached to TraXide.

Installed on the “White Ember,” you’ll find a new model in the lineup, designed to pair with our top cover and original side skirt or the AP TraXide. The lid features a chest-style opening and is slightly sloped to make it easier to open, even when loaded.
AP Bogie the solution for easily accessible and simple storage that makes use of the space between the car's Bogie tridem fenders. It is an excellent and smart way to solve storage problems for items such as fire extinguishers, straps, or other loose items. You can choose between door hinges at the bottom or top, chest opening, pull-out drawers, or completely open storage (loose items).
