Alf Pettersson AB has developed a new concept to remedy a serious work environment problem and has woven in ecological sustainability as a central focus. Many players in the trucking sector are working to reduce energy use and emissions from transport. New and refined technologies are being developed at a rapid pace and the industry is working progressively towards tough environmental targets.
Alf Petterson AB's Eco Box aims to make important inputs from biological waste. The idea comes from a work environment problem, but has shown great potential for ecological sustainability as well.

Eco Box HH is a newly developed large cabinet for heavy hauler, which in addition to normal storage and fuel tanks has a technically advanced sanitary section. In this secluded area you are met with a peaceful environment, but beneath the surface there is advanced technology to recycle the biological waste that otherwise often goes to waste and spoils the environment around our roads. The main benefit is related to the driver's work environment and health, but recycling is also ecologically valuable.
By separating the material directly at the source, effective recycling can be achieved. The urine is condensed with the help of excess heat from the car's catalytic converter and led directly to the car's Urea tank (AdBlue) and there contributes directly to the purification of the engine's exhaust gases. The mulch part of the material is cultivated with "friendly bacteria" and the heat generated in the predigestion process is used for maintenance heat when the car is switched off, reducing the time that auxiliary heaters have to run on diesel. Eco Box Roadside is a side-mounted box with a pull-out skirt and a free-standing rain cover. Urea condenser is available as an optional extra.

Eco Box Bas is an optional kit for our simpler drop lid boxes, essentially consisting of a replacement lid with appropriate hole shape and transport coverage. Bas version lacks recycling features and should not be used for long stops and in urban environments.
