A good start is when Christian arrives at work before 6.45 a.m. and starts the day with him or his colleague Bengt putting on the coffee.
After a steaming cup, he is now ready to work.
He starts by looking through the day's order flow. The material to be bent in the press brake is well prepared and is easy to pick up with the truck. Then it's just a matter of following the drawing, reading the instructions, installing the right tools in the press brake and continuing according to the business system's order flow.
Since it's Monday, there is a joint weekly meeting for all employees immediately after the breakfast break. It is Jan-Krister, CEO of Alf Pettersson AB who holds the meeting. Here, all employees get a quick summary of the previous week and what will happen in the near future.
In addition to Monday meetings, there are usually also production meetings on Wednesdays. Henrik, the production manager, goes through what went well during the previous week and what needs to be improved.
For Christian, the best thing about the job is that there is always something to do. If there is no work in the trestle, there is always something in the assembly. He likes to keep himself busy. The days go by quickly, he feels.
Our colleagues are a good mix of people with different personalities. Everyone helps and supports each other and there is good cooperation between departments. Good working hours with short Fridays. The icing on the cake is joint breakfast every day and Friday coffee.
Something that is appreciated is that Jan-Krister, our CEO, is visible in the business almost daily and you can easily exchange a few words or discuss any issue in a simple way.
